I'm back from a long hiatus. I see that as usual, no one has read my blog. Nevertheless, I will continue to plug away.
I've just relocated, moving back to the U.S. from overseas, and I'm finally getting my life back in order. There are a lot of adjustments you need to make when moving into a new area. For example, I started shopping at the local grocery store and noticed a few annoying things that will take some getting used to.
I tend to enjoy some level of routine or familiarity in my trips to the grocery store. One of the ruts I like to get into is buying milk. White container, blue label, skim milk. Very easy. But now, this new grocery store has milk in a yellow container. And I haven't quite cracked the label color code yet, having accidentally walked away with one-percent milk the other day.
Yellow has to be the worst color for milk. To me, yellow represents stale or old, especially when you're dealing with milk, which should be pure, clean and white. I don't think I'm alone in thinking this so what would ever possess someone to make a yellow milk container?
My wife seems to think it has something to do with filtering light and protecting the milk. I don't buy this. You mean to tell me that in this modern age of miracle plastics they can't develop a white opaque milk container? Almost everywhere else I've been they use white plastic, semi-opaque containers for milk.
This new yellow milk container will take some getting used to. In the meantime, if anyone knows why some milk containers are yellow (as if anyone reads this blog), please let me know.
I would be my concerned about the beef recalls than the milk jug!
