Last trip shopping

It is time once again to hit the streets to shop for the last of this season's Christmas gifts. I wanted to end my shopping early this year but as most of my plans go I was off by a few days. Time to fight for position in the check-out lines and navigate through packed parking lots. Before heading out I must make sure I am ready; wife, kids, money, aspirin, last but not least the shopping list that never seems to end.

As always, while waiting for the family to get ready, I checked out what was going on in the world. I always look to cnn.com for all the latest lies and death updates. After all, that is all that ever makes the news, death and misfortune. I had to navigate away from CNN to read this but hey, it's not every day someone slits the throat of a dog for staring at them.

"PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- A Paulden man slit his dog's throat after complaining that the dog was staring at him, then assaulted the deputies trying to arrest him, the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said."

Now that is messed up! What a nut case.

The only worthwhile story I could find was this one. It is a shame the family had to go through such a measure to get the dog. I think it would have been a no-brainer. The dog should have been given a Purple Heart and sent home. Two tours in Iraq and injuries from an IED. Ya, he deserves it. Good dog.

Well boys and girls I am off to the blacktop playground to finish my shopping. Ho Ho Ho.
