This is one topic that I can't let go. I was watching Larry King last night, flipping back and forth between Larry and the NFL play off game, and he was talking about the recent spate of UFO sightings in Texas. One of his guests was Stanton T. Friedman, a UFO researcher and physicist.
Friedman mentioned the Mutual UFO Network, or MUFON, which prompted me to look it up on the Internet. I have always had an interest in UFOs, but a keen skeptical interest, so a new UFO site intrigued me.
It turns out MUFON has been around for a while and is the largest UFO group in the country. There were two things of interest at the site. The first was the UFO reports, which anyone can file and are available for anyone to look at. The second was the chance to become a UFO field investigator.
I want to become a UFO field investigator. How cool would that be? All you have to do is join MUFON, buy the field investigator manual, take and pass the open book test and you will be placed on MUFON's roles as an investigator. You even get an ID card.
But alas, my wife thinks it's a dumb idea. She controls the purse strings so if I want to get $50 to join and $30 for the book, I have to come up with it on my own. That means I have to find something of mine to sell on eBay.
But back to the other interesting part, the UFO reports. You can see the 20 most recent reports or search for reports in your area. Some of them are hilarious! They even have a few with pictures. It's worth a look.
UFO, hmmmm, no way dude. I would believe in a politician that doesn't lie before UFOs. Elvis siting, more believable. I think you have been probed.
