No it is not the end of the world but one would think so for die-hard Ohio State fans. The Bucks lost their edge in the final showdown against LSU. I am not much of a football fan, never have never will be. I say it's not the end of the world but I know a few people who think so. For one, one of the guys I work with had $900 riding on the Buckeyes. His world might be coming to an end when his bookie finds him.
I don't understand all the hype over a football game, why do so many people try to claim a winning team and ride on the success of that team. How can you take pride in a win scored by someone else? Claim a win for your team, when in fact most people don't or haven't ever gone to the state or school that team plays for. It makes no sense to me.
The only thing I can figure is that people don't have anything to celebrate in their own lives. Football, baseball, soccer or any sport for that matter, isn't there more to life than college and pro sports? Talk about a shallow existence. The end of the world, pain, disappointment and disbelief, thats all you will get from sports.
Remember people, it's not the end of the world. There is always next year.
