For most people their day starts out normal; feed the dog, pack a lunch and go to work. They are people who do seek the meaning to life and wonder where we came from. For those who look for the answers, there is the Bible. I think one would be a fool to believe that man evolved from the water or a monkey. When is the last time you saw a dog evolve? Why haven't the cows said "to heck with this I am living in a house." Ever seen a monkey break out of the zoo and steel a cab and joy rid? No, it just doesn't work that way.
God created man and all that is around him. Each piece of the puzzle has it's own place and purpose. There are no explanations for many things, science will never be able to answer them all. Trace back to the early years when man knew the world was flat. Guess what, we found out different didn't we. The only way to find out if Christianity is the right way to go is to die. I am not ready test my faith, I can wait. For those who wish not to believe, that's all on you, not me.
For those who have little faith, I feel sorry for you. Put your faith in God and leave science to the atheist.
Obviously you don't understand evolution.
ReplyDeleteI understand well, some people have to see and feel something to believe it is there. They have no faith and are unwilling to accept that not every question needs answered. Look at all the people that have given their lives for a cause accepting death and a chance at the perfect after life. To say there is no God would be to spit in the face of our brave soldiers, police and firefighters that have given their lives to help others. The world is too well balanced for evolution to have set that up. We have evolved but just not from nothing to something.
ReplyDeleteThere is a God and there was a man by the name of Jesus that walked this earth.
Jesus loves us so much that he gave his life for us so that we can live with him in heaven.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. I never mentioned anything about an afterlife nor whether or not there is a God. I'm just saying that Christianity, and organized religion in general, is a political tool used by the few to control the masses. This does not include individual spirituality, God, or an afterlife.
ReplyDeleteSoldiers, police and firefighters don't do what they do for Jesus. They do it to help their fellow man and fight for their country. It's the right thing to do and doesn't always rely on religion. Countries often invoke God as reason for fighting ("For God and Country") but this is again a tool to influence the masses to take part. Nowadays though, soldiers fight to defend their country or their country's political interests, way of life, society, etc., not for religion.
If you have faith, are willing to allow some unanswered questions, and are a Christian, technically you should be a Muslim. After all, the same God who sent Jesus to Earth sent Muhammad 600 years later and told everyone that he was the last prophet. How can you deny this? Who's to say God didn't send Muhammad? If you have faith in God and allow things to go unquestioned, you should believe that God sent Muhammad.
Live in such a way that those who know you but don't know God,
ReplyDeleteWill come to know God because they know you.
