I feel that it is the fault of the American people, there I said it. Our political leaders are engaged in a lie fest. Hillary being the queen of the nest. Bosnia 1996, Hillary claimed that her plane landed under sniper fire while setting down in Bosnia. Caught in another lie. In fact, there her plane did not take on any fire upon landing and she calmly walked out of the plane and onto the runway. Just days ago there was a story by CNN about her telling lies about an Ohio hospital that caused the death of a pregnant woman. If she keeps this up, Obama is sure to get the party blessing. Kind of makes you wonder if there is a Clinton on this planet who can tell the truth. We, the American people, want to believe our leaders are bigger than life, wear a suit and cape and run faster than a non-lethal, environmentally friendly bullet. That's when the lies start popping up. Trying to appeal to our emotions leads to lie after lie. If they would stick to the issues, they would be better off.
Hillary seems to be in the media spotlight all the time. It is starting to sound like the liberal news media is endorsing Obama.
I think Bill Clinton should run again!
Here is another good one!
Talking about Obama's comment in PA...
McCain's campaign also criticized the comment Friday. "It shows an elitism and condescension towards hardworking Americans that is nothing short of breathtaking," said Steve Schmidt, a senior advisor to McCain. "It is hard to imagine someone running for president who is more out of touch with average Americans."
I am a McCain supporter but do you know of any politician who is really in touch with the average American? Hell, I don't. Clinton, Obama, McCain, they don't know me, of me or about me. No high-end politician cares about us little people. I understand the president can't stop out for dinner but I would love to sit down with a president and talk about the issues. That will never happen.
I am sick and tired of hearing about the upcoming election. Lets move on.
I didn't realize Clinton's sniper attack referred to her 1996 visit. I was there when the plane landed. Part of my unit was doing security for the visit, which was at Tuzla-Main airfield in Bosnia.
ReplyDeleteI was pegged to go stand and be part of the formation of troops to whom he spoke. I think the plane landed, he came out and said some things, wearing his leather Air Force bomber jacket, and then got back in the plane and left. He may have also came into the headquarters too but I forget. I don't remember seeing Hillary but I'm sure she was there.
Right after Clinton spoke, he walked out in the crowd of troops to shake hands. He got close enough for me to shake hands with him but I didn't push that extra inch. I did get a picture of him up close. I've since lost that picture.
I remember all of the Secret Service that was there to protect him. They had these all-black, armored Humvees with M2 machine guns mounted on top, driven by hardcore-looking guys with black helmets. This was before armored Humvees were so common. And they never left the base.
That was the second time I came across Clinton while in the Army. The first time was in Berlin, 1994. He was there to doing a pass and review for the closing of the Berlin Brigade. I was on the security detail, providing one of the "middle rings" of security.
Both times they would not let any of the soldiers in formation who were in the vicinity carry ammunition and they had to remove the bolts from their weapons. Of course I was exempt from that as part of the security detail.
When the Secret Service gave us our briefing before the event, they warned us not to come close to the inner circle security around the president, even if someone broke through our ring and ran for him. Anyone coming from our circle to theirs would be shot.
Fun, fun, fun.
