Not so secret lost tribe! Media lies!

Pictures can be great at times and at times they can be not so great. As a freelance photo journalist I used to tell people "pictures don't lie." Well photographers can lie! José Carlos Meirelles snapped a few good shots of some jungle warriors and claimed they were an "undiscovered tribe." Not true, the location of these people has been known for years, they were discovered in 1910.

Now his motive for telling this little white lie was good in nature but it still is a lie nonetheless. He was only trying to keep the logging industry from moving in on their little village. A political move that is going to cause a few waves in the pool.

The news media jumped right on this story, probably not even doing an investigation of their own first. Thats why I have such a big problem with the media. Lie, lie, lie. You never know if you can believe the news media or not. Always wanting to be the first to break a story. Not caring who they hurt or lie about. I had a friend refer to religion as government mind control once. The news media is self-induced mind control. We jump right on board with them every time. Thank God for Fox News....................

  1. Ah! I knew you would jump all over this one! From what I read though, people knew of the tribe but I don't think they've had any real or substantive contact with them. It took the photographer two days flying over an area to find them. He knew roughly where they were supposed to be but he'd never made contact with them. So maybe it was a white lie. It was and still is a good story.
