I found an article today that highlights how retarded some newspapers are. The article headline and the lead says that Obama is considering top retired military leaders for the vice president post.
It makes it sound like he's narrowed it down to just former military leaders. "Wow," you might think, "that's an interesting move," or "look, he wants to cater to the military and show that he takes foreign policy seriously."
But read a little further and you will see that in addition to senior military leaders, he's also looking at current top elected officials and former top elected officials. Well, that's just about everyone any presidential hopeful would ever consider.
Just by skewing the headline and lead a bit, the newspaper is able to make something out of nothing. Amazing.
Dude I see that kind of stuff all the time. It's like CNN always finds a negative story to head line. Oil trades down but the for the day and it is out of the news and the poor US economy is a new headline. Next day oil goes up it's oil is the head line.
