If you haven't noticed, I have been down for the count. My computer crashed and I've been messing with it for the past few days. I'm back up on my laptop with a new computer in the mail (yes, it was that bad).
There was an editorial cartoon in the paper the other day. It showed a cartoon of a "large" man reading a newspaper about obesity on the rise. On the other half it had a picture of smaller cars coming from auto makers in the wake of high gas prices.
Obesity on the rise... Smaller cars...
I saw a humongous guy the other day climb out of a small car. It was almost comical, like when you see a bunch of clowns get out of a small clown car.
And also I saw on the news today that Hummer may be down for the count too. The icon of excess consumption, foiled by high gas prices.
As gas prices increase, food prices are increasing. What will happen to obesity rates when food prices rise?
Big gas-guzzling SUVs and obesity, two hallmarks of American over-consumption. We have a problem.
This is a problem but, as long as he can still get the door closed. It is just job security for the local Medic and FD personnel if he needs extricated after an accident. Makes it more of a challenge for both.
