Bold Move?

Senator McCain picks Gov. Palin? That is a bold move, as Firefighter noted, but bold in a stupid way.

It's as if his advisors sit around trying to copy every move Obama and the Democratic Party make.

"Hey, they had one of those things with boobs and that went well, why don't we do that too?"

Can you think of a more contrived pick? They were banking on picking up votes from people who wanted Hillary Clinton but not everyone voted for her just because she was a woman.

Palin is the polar opposite of Clinton in every way.

And what's worse, they likely picked her so fast with little vetting that they are paying for it now; pregnant teenage daughter, under investigation by the state, who knows what else...

I liked McCain several years ago when he was in the Republican primaries with Bush II. In fact, I voted for him!

But now he comes across as a petty politician who's letting his staff run the show.

He'd have been much better off if he just went out there as himself, made his own decisions, and let people see who he really is rather than letting some bunch of advisors package him up to be something he's not.
