Is It Report Card Time?

Here's a transcription from my Facebook page:

M3 - is perfect and odor-free and thinks there's nothing to see on the interstate but interstate.

Wolf Spyder - Not true... on the second count. Every once in a while there are big multi car pile-ups on the interstate.

Wolf Spyder - I will refrain from making any comments about odor... You are, after all, a liberal.

Jarrod - I too am perfect and quite odor free today (and also fairly liberal)

Wolf Spyder -So do you like Obama? Do you think he is doing a good job as President?

Wolf Spyder -Ok, I'm hitting the refresh button like every other minute waiting on a response...

Jarrod - eeeh, better than the last guy, but he's no Bill Clinton....

Wolf Spyder - Bush was no Conservative, he acted more like a Liberal on a lot of things. Bill Clinton was just as bad. Everyone credits him with a balanced budget but it was the Republicans in Congress after the '94 elections that control the purse. The Congress makes those decisions. Just as the Congress from 2006 on has been under the control of the... Read More Democrats. What did that get us? $4.oo a gallon gas prices, a crappy housing market, Nationalizing the Banking industry, Nationalizing the Auto Industry, threatening to Nationalize the Oil Industry, and trying like Hell to Nationalize the Health Care Industry.

I used to think liberalism was a mental disorder, someone to pat on the head and feel sorry for. But these Fucktards are destroying the Constitution and Socializing this country. I have had enough! I keep hearing folks talk of armed revolt, and Civil War. I think that would be very bad... but I feel if things continue... it is coming. So keep praising your Socialist Icons.

M3 - Wow, all this from my being odor-free. I'm going to have to move this discussion to the blog...

So, I got to thinking, how has Obama been doing for real? I figured that someone must have already covered that topic ad nauseam so I did a search for it.

The first article I found, BAM! I concur. I especially think Obama is handling the economy well. The stock market has been on the upswing (at least most of my picks have), housing is recovering.

I also like the cap-and-trade bill, as I've mentioned here in the past.

I really like what he's done overseas, especially his visit to Cairo. That will go a long way in helping Muslim-American relations.

I'm all about socialist health care. I like where it's going now.

Overall, I'd give him a B, just like the article above.

Give me one good reason why. Just one. Lets take this on one issue at a time, if you dare!

  2. Good reason for socialized healthcare? The main reason is because I believe that U.S. society has advanced enough that we should be able to afford all citizens access to quality medical treatment. It's sad that the most powerful country in the world has anyone who goes without medical treatment because they cannot afford it. It's also sad that the current system, under capitalist ideas, has insurance companies who deny treatment to someone because it impacts the insurance company's bottom line. Add to that the exorbitant cost of healthcare, due in large part to the malpractice insurance doctors must carry to fend off our litigious society, and you have one screwed up system. I think if you limited a doctor's liability in malpractice cases we wouldn't even have to worry about insurance because it would be affordable to everyone. It used to be where you didn't need insurance, you just went to the doctor or the hospital and paid the bill. Now the cost is so astronomically high, no one from the upper-middle class on down can afford to pay for a hospital stay. Spend more on healthcare and education and less on defense and this would be one great country.

  3. No one in America is denied life saving medical treatment. Anyone not being treated is making up lies or not taking the time to learn about their options. I was laid off for 7 months, my kids and I both went to the doctor in that 7 months and didn't pay a dime. I had no insurance. There are programs in place to supplement people without insurance. Why do we need to have a national health insurance program?

Cost, what is it going to cost me, the worker vs the welfare recipients? I already pay for their medical insurance, am I going to have to pay more. Obama's plan can't be free? Someone has to pay.

Obama doesn't have to worry about insurance, do you think he will have the same national plan that I do?

I would rather spend my tax dollars on defense than insuring no productive people. WHy do people not have insurance? Poor education, lack of wanting a good job, too lazy to work,,,,,. So is it really the problem of the GOV to carry the load of these people?

Again have you ever seen the Government do anything right? So you want to trust them with health care decisions? I don't!

And by the way this is a great country, if you don't like it here there are plenty of places for you to go.
