Here I sit waiting, waiting for this year to be over. 2009 was a great/bad year. I spent 7 months on unemployment but I did make good use of my time. I spent several weeks at the Ohio Fire Academy, went to Florida for the first time, went to Washington DC on Memorial Day for the ride to the Wall, bicycled The Great Allegheny Passage Trail, bought a killer motorcycle, started paramedic school and I got a new Droid ERIS phone. I spent a lot of time on my motorcycle this year, a lot.
That was the good. The bad, well, I got my job back only to find myself having a hard time adapting to the new shift, people and the new attitudes of management. Out of all the years I have ever worked there, this has been by far the hardest. I have never before been this close to flipping out at work. Not getting fired has never been so hard for me. Money has been very short but I have learned that money is not that important and can in fact live without. I have learned to live so cheaply, a lesson over due. Now that I am back to work and have gotten caught up on bills, I have been putting some money back in the bank. Another bad note, I have put on some weight. The doctor says I am doing good, the blood work is coming out good but I need to shed the weight.
For 2010 I want to drop a few pounds, find a new job and successfully finish medic school. That would be a good year for me. Be safe, party hard and live a full life. Goodbye 2009.
