Truck Repair, Car Fire and a Trip To Wal-Mart

Well today was a busy day. After working all night I stopped in at the fire house to change the brakes on my truck. Wouldn't you know, I ended up on a car fire. Kind of a weird one really. The car was abandoned on a bare stretch of country road, the license plates were removed and no one was with the vehicle. Kind of sounds like a car loan gone wrong or sticky finger attack. Never the less, I was there to save the day!

After a long talk with a few of my buds at work "they" decided that I need to spruce up my image. The debate ended in a vote for a cool new pair of shoes. A local store in the mall called The Foot Locker was the suggested store of choice. So I went to Wal-Mart after looking through another store before hand called Dunham's. Dunham's had a wide range of sporty shoes that would make any NBA player happy. But I am cheap! The flashy new $150 shoes did not impress me any at all. Name brands might mean something to some people but not me. I bought two pairs of shoes from Wal-Mart for $10 a piece. now thats a deal! I did buy a pair of Reebok softball cleats, nothing but the best for the kids.

Now my work boots, that's another story. I buy Redwing boots for work. I am on my feet (ya right) all night long so I need the best in work footwear. Also I have a nice pair of Bates nonmetallic boots for when I work at the fire house. Grand total for both of those is around $150 green backs.

So now here I sit, I have been up for over 26 hours. Not even a catnap in there anywhere. I worked on my truck for 3 hours, fought a car fire and went shoe shopping. I am going to bed now!
