If I sell all of my worldly belongings and give to the poor, they will have car, house and food but I won't. That makes no sense.
From Carl
Jesus said, " The poor you will always have with you." Most 3rd world countries long ago turned their backs on God and serve other gods. When Noah came off the Ark everyone knew God. When the world began to repopulate many turned from the living God and went and served man made gods. The result is, poverty, sickness, diseases, death, shortages and on and on. Christians are preaching the truth in every country. If those people in those countries turn from their gods and serve the living God, He forgives and blesses them. The answer to poverty is Jesus! The answer to disease is Jesus! The answer to sickness is Jesus! There is no sickness, death, disease, poverty and so on in Heaven. They are man made. Even, if you feed the poor, which we should do, if they don't get saved, they will still end up in the Lake of Fire. So, which is better: to give a man a fish, or teach him how to fish? The answer is both! But, if he throws the fishing equipment down and asks for more fish, your obligation is over. Be careful about Obama, he is a Muslim through and through. I have a video of him saying he will disarm our military. NOT GOOD! One of the gifts of the Spirit in Corinthians is "Discerning of spirits." Which means, being able to tell what kind of a person they are underneath the mask. He is (dangerous) by the discerning of spirits. We are in the last days and evil has to get in and control the world before Jesus comes back. Jesus said so. I don't like it but, I do want Him to come back. Things have to fall apart before the anti-christ comes on the scene with what seems like the answers. The world will think he is the Christ. The Lord told me to tell the congregation to stay away from politics and just live a quiet and peacable life minding our business. If we get caught up in politics we can get very angry, and He doesn't want us to do that. Keep your eyes on him, not the govornment, nor the world. Keep them on Him.
Come on! Obama is not a Muslim for goodness sake. Anyone who says that looses all credibility and is suspect.
ReplyDeleteAlso, "Most 3rd world countries long ago turned their backs on God" is wrong, wrong, wrong. This is something that is not based on fact at all. Poverty knows no religion.
ReplyDeleteFor example, up to 20 percent of the people in South America live on less than $1 per day (the definition of extreme poverty). South American is nearly all Christian and perhaps more devout than the U.S. Why are they more devout? Because poor people are often more devout. They turn to religion as a way out of their poverty. It's all they have left. Also, we've already mentioned Africa, one of the poorest places on Earth. Forty percent are Christian. And guess what, the poorest countries, Nigeria, and the Central African Republic, have substantial Christian populations. And no, they are not Johnny-come-lately missionary converts. Many parts of Africa converted to Christianity before parts of Europe.
So no, people are not poor because they don't believe in God or Jesus. They are poor for various other reasons but religion is not one of them.
Also note that 2-5 percent of Mexico's population lives on less than $1 per day. Wonder why they risk their lives to come here?
