God vs Poverty

Philippians 4:19 My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches (not your billfold) in Christ Jesus. Also, if you put Him first and the Kingdom of heaven first, He promised that He would give these other things to you also. Houses, lands, and so on. If you try to get these things by your effort and do not put the Kingdom of God first, He said, you will put your money in purses with holes in it. Another scripture, Give, and it shall be given unto you, pressed down, shaken together and running over, shall men give unto you. The key to serving the Lord is to give! The kingdom of heaven is based on giving. For God so loved the world He gave.......... The English word from the Greek for Love is Agape'. And it is based entirely on giving. It comes from heaven. There are three other words that translate in to the word "love" but they come from the earth and are based on "getting." God's love is based on giving. When we get saved, we start a process of changing. Changing from a getter to a giver. Learn to pay tithes! You pay taxes for the world so pay tithes for Jesus. Render to Caesar the things that belong to Caesar and render to God the things that belong to God. Once your start paying tithes because you want to and because you love Jesus instead of because you have to, then He honors His word and pours you out blessings you can't contain. I've found out, in my own life, that I can't afford not to pay tithes. We have no health insurance nor do we have any doctors. He has become my doctor and my health and my protector in every way. God's word says, if you will give, He will give it back 100 fold. (times) Try and find a bank that will give that kind of interest!
I hope this helps! Keep growing. Love you. Carl.

I guess you were right again M3, I am a hypocrite. I am off to give!

  1. Now, we could argue whether or not any of what Jesus said is true but that's a whole different bowl of wax.
