Roy Beck talks about immigration and how if we stay on the path we are on, it ain't going to be good. The video is kind of old but it makes a few good points and the one I found the most interesting is in fact the numbers. Oddly enough that is what his web site is called, Numbers USA. How this relates to our ongoing but hope will end soon topic of poverty is, drum roll..... Poverty stricken countries are havening too much sex! Imagine that. Their populations are growing so fast and all of these do-gooder liberals are letting them into the US, 1 million a year. This is overpopulating the US, causing our own people to suffer. But it helps 1 million of over 80 million people living in poverty but it increases our unemployment, taxes our welfare system, raises the cost of our health care and over populates our community's and schools.

From the Numbers USA web page
Senate Republicans on Wednesday held a press conference to showcase a package of 15 bills designed to make critical improvements to America’s immigration system. The coalition, led by Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), called for full Senate consideration on each of the bills as amendments to any legislative vehicle deemed appropriate by Senate Republicans this year."
Go team!!!
But here comes the but.
NumbersUSA's Capitol Hill Team is hearing numerous reports and seeing signs indicating that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is negotiating to give millions of American jobs to foreign workers.
Pelosi's backroom deals appear to be motivated by fear that a group of freshmen Democrats may get most Republicans to help them force a vote on the enforcement-only SAVE Act (Secure America with Verification Enforcement). That bill -- with 151 bi-partisan signers in the House and Senate -- primarily would drive millions of illegal aliens out of their jobs. But Pelosi is trying to ensure that if the bill comes to a vote, it will include huge increases in H-2B and H-1B visas for foreign workers of all kinds – and, that it will include millions of legal work permits for all the illegal aliens currently holding jobs unlawfully.
Unfortunately, Pelosi, the most radical Member of Congress on the immigration issue, is using her power as Speaker of the House to try to wreak even more damage on the most vulnerable American workers and legal immigrant workers in this country.
NumbersUSA urges all Americans concerned by Rep. Pelosi's outrageous push for more foreign work visas to contact their Members of Congress and express their opposition.
My point once again, lets not tear our country apart to try and help those who's fate is already been written.
Educate them on so they can feed themselves and tech them not to breed poverty.
So are you saying you'll take a job picking tomatoes in Northern Ohio?
ReplyDeleteDid you ever stop to think that if we stopped giving money to poor countries, the poor people there would get poorer and migrate to our country (i.e. Mexico).
I'm all for putting limits on immigration but this has little to do with giving money to third-world countries.

ReplyDeleteGet real, we aren't going to get rid of all the illegals.

Two words, border patrol.
"I'm all for putting limits on immigration but this has little to do with giving money to third-world countries."
The point was aimed more towards over population, not immigration. If you keep feeding a fire it will continue to burn. Stop feeding and guess what.........It goes out. Poverty, too many people in one area to feed. Drop the population, it's that simple.
For years I have been nice to everyone, people keep taking and taking from me. It never stops, they keep coming back for more. I have nothing left to give. When I needed help no one was there for me, they refused to help after all I had done for them. The world is going to take from us until we are broke, we can't say no. Our country will some day fall because of this. It has already started.
We need to know when to say no, 845 billion. No.
"Drop the population" I think Hitler had that same idea.
ReplyDeleteAnd the only reason we have immigrants coming to American to take jobs is because employers can't fill the jobs with Americans. No American wants to be picking tomatoes or washing dishes in a greasy Mexican restaurant.
We have a pretty sophisticated Border Patrol now and that doesn't stop them.
Go and help these 80+ million poverty stricken people.
ReplyDeleteGo save them all, you are going to be busy. Better get started.
