Randy and I hit the trail for another epic exercise, we rode 20+ miles even though we had to wait out the rain. We started out on the bike path east of Newark, Ohio and rode over the river and through the woods to
Blackhand Gorge and back again. We did slightly over 20 miles in two hours and 10 minutes. This ride went better than our first one, the first ride from Newark to Johnstown was long and boring.
I still need to get my panniers in order and my tires.
Nashbar.com seems to be the biker's super store. I decided to purchase a smooth tread tire used on police bikes(for the rear) and a smooth (cheap) tire for the front. By the time we leave for our 184 mile trip, I'll have one bad azz bike. Furry will be ready for anything!
Stay tuned for more Epic Journey updates.
