Friends

I wasn't going to post this here because of the ongoing Epic Journey posts but what the hey!

Over the last few days I have been thinking about the people around me, the people I associate with and my life as a whole. I put in another long two days at work. Twenty hours between two jobs in one day a four-hour nap then another eight hours of hard labor. It seems that when I get tired I start to think more than I should but thats OK. I wish more people would think from time to time, it would make my job at the firehouse a lot easier.

After working all those hours and coming home hurt, tired and out of energy, I think of how nice it is to have friends. From the old friend that has traveled the world and never forgot me to my new friend that was an unlikely friend but is now a great friend, I sure am lucky. Even if gas reaches $30 a gallon, I will still consider my self fortunate.

Hey, how far do you drive to work? Can you start riding your bike? That's a good way to prepare.
