More Doom and Gloom

Oil prices are increasing and according to this article, it doesn't look like it will get any better.

I think the looming oil crunch will force Americans to reevaluate their lifestyle and hopefully reorder their priorities and values.

Right now, Americans value stuff; nice shiny cars, expensive granite counter tops, Britney Spears clothes, and numerous other things with false value.

As the price of oil increase, sure gas will go up, but so will the cost of everything else. All of that stuff gets lugged across the country in trucks that use gas and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

What happens when we can't afford to drive to work and pay high prices at the grocery stores for oranges trucked from Florida?

Will politicians and the U.S. government let it get to that point? When will they step in and what will they do?

Lots of questions and very few answers.
