New Bike!

I picked up my new Surly Long Haul Trucker sometime last week and took it on a ride today.

I went from Cumberland to Frostburg and back, a 32 mile trip.

The new bike did great. It's pretty comfortable, good on hills and overall, a joy to ride!

I had to drop it off at the bike shop after that for a couple of hours so they could change out a shifter.

The shifter that was on it would not work in the index position, only in friction. They swapped it out with a new one for me.

It's good to be back on the trail. Next week Firefighter is supposed to come down here and we'll run the Frostburg route again so he can see how steep the route is. This, of course, is in preparation for our long trip in June.
