My brother took advantage of the Cash for Clunkers Program offered by the generous GOV. He took his 1984 Ford Van and traded it in on a 2009 Chevy Aveo. After getting his $4500 for the van and an extended 6 year bumper to bumper warranty, he paid $8000 of the original $12,000 MSRP. That was with no money down! So after a few hours of paperwork he drove away in his first brand new car, an eco-friendly, 34mpg Chevy Aveo. It just makes sense to take advantage of the savings and trade your clunker for cash. I'll be sorry to see the old van get cubed, NOT.
