The Right-Wing Whack Jobs are crawling out the woodwork today.
In case you didn't know, today is the anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing and the end of the raid on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas. It's also the anniversary of the first shots of the Revolutionary War.
Oddly, Second Amendment nut jobs chose today to rally with their guns in Virginia, looking out across the Potomac at Washington D.C. So are they doing this in honor of Timothy McVeigh? It sure seems like it.
I heard a great comment from Richard Clarke, former terrorism expert under Clinton and Bush II. He was on NPR talking about cyber terrorism.
At the end of the interview, he said it was deeply disturbing that the small minority of right-wing extremists, the "ideological remnants of the Ku Klux Klan," has grown since the election of Pres. Obama. He said they are a serious threat today, especially because Republican and conservative other public officials are egging these guys on in order to get their votes, or at least the votes of groups that are close to the nuts.
This is what the bad side of the Tea Party and Konstitutional Konservative Klan is all about. They are leftover KKK guys and other anti-government freaks who are being pandered to by people like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity.
It's a disgusting and scary trend. We could see another Oklahoma City if we continue on this course.
